<\/span>He was born in 1406.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>He began his artistic studies in <st1:City w:st=\"on\">Padua<\/st1:City> and Bolonia, but the most important period of his education was done in <st1:City w:st=\"on\"><st1:place w:st=\"on\">Rome<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>In 1432, he started to work in the office of an apostolic abbreviator.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>He studied the finite components of classic architecture&#8212;design, proportion, decorations, and projecting.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style=\"MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt\"><span style=\"FONT-FAMILY: Univers\"><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style=\"MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt\"><span style=\"FONT-FAMILY: Univers\">He met fellow architects, Brunelleschi, Donatello, Mosaccio in <st1:City w:st=\"on\">Florence<\/st1:City> <st1:place w:st=\"on\"><st1:country-region w:st=\"on\">Italy<\/st1:country-region><\/st1:place> in 1434.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Following this association, he wrote the treatise &#8220;Della pittura (1435).<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>In this work, Alberti collected and studied architectural works by Brunelleschi.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>He outlined the theories of Florentine art at the beginning of the 15<sup>th<\/sup> century.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style=\"MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt\"><span style=\"FONT-FAMILY: Univers\"><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style=\"MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt\"><span style=\"FONT-FAMILY: Univers\">Supported by the Italian family, Rucellai, Alberti left a profound legacy of work.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>The Palazzo Ruccellai (1447-1451) was done in a style which emulated the homes of the nobility in <st1:City w:st=\"on\"><st1:place w:st=\"on\">Florence<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>His other works, Il Tempietto de San Sepolcro in Cappella Rucellai and the <st1:place w:st=\"on\"><st1:PlaceType w:st=\"on\">church<\/st1:PlaceType> of <st1:PlaceName w:st=\"on\">San Pancrazio<\/st1:PlaceName><\/st1:place> were great architectural achievements.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style=\"MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt\"><span style=\"FONT-FAMILY: Univers\"><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style=\"MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt\"><span style=\"FONT-FAMILY: Univers\">Alberti was the symbol of the ideal artist of the Italian Renaissance.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\">&nbsp;
