{"id":4930,"date":"2012-12-22T07:06:10","date_gmt":"2012-12-22T14:06:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.marialiberati.com\/?p=4930"},"modified":"2012-12-22T07:06:10","modified_gmt":"2012-12-22T14:06:10","slug":"preparing-for-a-feast-of-the-seven-fishes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/marialiberati.com\/freshsite\/2012\/12\/22\/preparing-for-a-feast-of-the-seven-fishes\/","title":{"rendered":"Spaghetti with Shrimp Ragu &#124; Feast of the Seven Fishes Menu"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>copyright 2012 Art of Living, PrimaMedia,Inc.\/Maria Liberati<br \/>\n<strong><em>Christmas is not a time or season, but a state of mind.,,,,<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\nFood plays a big part in the Holidays here in the mountains of Abruzzo.. ..with every meal orchestrated like an opera that is a true Masterpiece\u2026the Holidays seem to be a whirlwind of cooking and eating and eating and cooking..and in between visiting with friends and family.<br \/>\nOne of my favorite dishes that is easy to prepare, delicious and does not require a lot of ingredients for the Feast of the Seven Fishes is Spaghetti with Shrimp Ragu\u2026only a few ingredients\u2026.quick to prepare as well.<br \/>\nThis makes a great first course for a Feast of the Seven Fishes Dinner&#8230;. the traditional Italian Christmas Eve Dinner&#8230;.<br \/>\n<strong>Spaghetti with Shrimp Ragu<\/strong><br \/>\n<img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.piacerevero.it\/sites\/voiello.it\/files\/imagecache\/w200\/4b210af661c86-spaghetti_ragu_gamberi.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\nPhoto Credit: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.voiello.it\">www.voiello.it<\/a><br \/>\n1 lb spaghetti<br \/>\n2 cloves garlic<br \/>\n1 pinch red hot pepper flakes or 1 small red hot dry red hot pepperoncino<br \/>\npinch of salt<br \/>\n\u00bd lb steamed, cleaned shrimp<br \/>\n3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil<br \/>\nSlice cleaned shrimp into 1\/2 inch thick slices. Place olive oil, garlic in saute pan and saute till garlic is golden. Place in sliced shrimp and saute for 2 minutes.\u00a0 Add in hot red pepper and then set aside.\u00a0 Boil water for spaghetti and when water comes to a rolling boil, add in pasta and\u00a0 cook for time directed on package. Drain pasta when al dente.
