{"id":4847,"date":"2012-11-06T00:07:32","date_gmt":"2012-11-06T07:07:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.marialiberati.com\/?p=4847"},"modified":"2012-11-06T00:07:32","modified_gmt":"2012-11-06T07:07:32","slug":"storms-pasta-and-fagioli-soup-recipe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/marialiberati.com\/freshsite\/2012\/11\/06\/storms-pasta-and-fagioli-soup-recipe\/","title":{"rendered":"Weathering Storms &#124; Pasta e Fagioli (Fagioli Soup)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Our Holiday Guide will be delayed a week because of Hurricane Sandy but we have a lot of great products for you..so please stay tuned\u2026for that.<br \/>\nTo all our readers out there..hoping you made it through the storm safely and have all your electricity restored\u2026<br \/>\nStorms and natural disasters\u00a0 sometimes\u00a0 force you to reflect on all the little special things in your life to be grateful for\u2026if you were able to weather the storm with friends and family..be grateful \u2026they are a special gift\u2026and sometimes the powers above send us these types of events to make us appreciate the things that we already have..<br \/>\n\u201c<strong>Storms make the oak grow deeper roots\u201d.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>By George Herbert, English Poet<\/strong><br \/>\nNothing warms the heart and soul like a pot of homemade soup\u2026this is one of my favorites from <strong><em>The Basic Art of Italian Cooking: DaVinci Style<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\n<b>Pasta e Fagioli <\/b><br \/>\n<img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/cucina-ricette.myblog.it\/album\/foto_ricette\/1048982110.JPG\" \/><br \/>\n1 pound (\u00bd kilo) of dry cannelini, or ceci or speckled beans (soaked in water for 8 hours)<br \/>\n1 celery stalk<br \/>\n2 cloves garlic<br \/>\n1 handful fresh parsley chopped<br \/>\n1 small stalk of fresh rosemary<br \/>\n1 lb (\u00bd kilo) Egg pasta-freshly made or dry-a short pasta or noodle<br \/>\n2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil<br \/>\n\u00bc cup plain tomato sauce<br \/>\nBoil beans in abundant water with a stalk of rosemary and 2 cloves of garlic. Cook for one hour till beans are tender. Place in food processor with some of the cooking liquid to make a creamy liquid. Set aside.. place in large pot.<br \/>\nIn a saute pan, place in olive oil, chopped celery, chopped parsley, saute for 2 minutes, add in tomato sauce . Boil for 3 minutes. Then add into bean mixture. Place over heat, when boiling place in pasta, cook pasta till al dente.
