I\u2019m really trying to eat healthier, so I make sure I\u2019ve got the right stuff on hand to keep me on track!!! I love having cheeses (all kinds), tomatoes, peppers, Vidalia onions, butter, chicken and sausage in the fridge \u2013 while I\u2019m trying to do better with my eating\u2026..those items help me whip up great meals for my family and friends easily and quickly!!!<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0.19in; margin-bottom: 0.19in; line-height: 0.2in\"><font color=\"#333333\"><font face=\"Times New Roman, serif\"><font size=\"3\"><strong>ML:*What are your favorite foods?<\/strong><\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0.19in; margin-bottom: 0.19in; line-height: 0.2in\"><font face=\"Times New Roman, serif\"><font size=\"3\"><font color=\"#333333\"><strong>LRH<\/strong>: I\u2019m a girl with Southern roots \u2013 so I must confess to loving the beauty of perfectly fried chicken. However \u2013 I adore pasta, especially with a freshly made sauce of tomatoes and peppers, then dressed with some grilled or roasted chicken. I also love mushroom risotto, with lots of parmesan cheese and a touch of truffle oil. Last but not least \u2013 I love bacon. All of that fat just tastes so darn good <\/font><font color=\"#333333\"><font face=\"Wingdings\">\uf04a<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0.19in; margin-bottom: 0.19in; line-height: 0.2in\"><font color=\"#333333\"><font face=\"Times New Roman, serif\"><font size=\"3\"><strong>ML: *Do you stick to a special eating regimen? <\/strong><\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0.19in; margin-bottom: 0.19in; line-height: 0.2in\"><font face=\"Times New Roman, serif\"><font size=\"3\"><font color=\"#333333\"><strong>LRH:<\/strong> I wish that I could stick to one \u2013 but I\u2019m getting better about the choices I make. When you are knocking on the door of your 50<\/font><font color=\"#333333\"><sup>th<\/sup><\/font><font color=\"#333333\"> birthday like I am\u2026you realize that this is really the only body you have \u2013 so take care of it. With all of that said, I\u2019ve pretty much weaned myself off of junk food and soda \u2013 for me that was a tremendous thing! Now, I\u2019ve definitely incorporated more veggies and fruit into my eating&#8230;as well as more seafood.<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0.19in; margin-bottom: 0.19in; line-height: 0.2in\"><font color=\"#333333\"><font face=\"Times New Roman, serif\"><font size=\"3\"><strong>ML: *What foods do you like to indulge in?<\/strong><\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0.19in; margin-bottom: 0.19in; line-height: 0.2in\"><font color=\"#333333\"><font face=\"Times New Roman, serif\"><font size=\"3\"><strong>LRH<\/strong>: All the things that are high calorie! The fried chicken, garlic mashed potatoes with lots of sweet, creamery butter, macaroni and cheese! But \u2013 I\u2019m from Maryland, so if you put a table full of hot, steamed, spicy blue crabs in front of me \u2013 I\u2019ll tear them up!!! And \u2013 make sure there\u2019s a cold glass of beer to go along with it!!!!!<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0.19in; margin-bottom: 0.19in; line-height: 0.2in\"><font color=\"#333333\"><font face=\"Times New Roman, serif\"><font size=\"3\"><strong>ML: *Is the kitchen an important part of your house?<\/strong><\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0.19in; margin-bottom: 0.19in; line-height: 0.2in\"><font color=\"#333333\"><font face=\"Times New Roman, serif\"><font size=\"3\"><strong>LRH<\/strong>: The kitchen is such a central part of my home \u2013 it\u2019s therapeutic for me to get in there and just start cooking!! There\u2019s something relaxing about chopping, dicing, stirring and smelling the wonderful aromas that come from my dishes\u2026and I love every moment of it! Both of my children are just as comfortable in the kitchen as I am, and when their friends come over \u2013 it\u2019s off to the kitchen to make snacks or just hang out and watch me make something for them!!<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0.19in; margin-bottom: 0.19in; line-height: 0.2in\"><font color=\"#333333\"><font face=\"Times New Roman, serif\"><font size=\"3\"><strong>ML:*Do you cook and\/or enjoy cooking?<\/strong><\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0.19in; margin-bottom: 0.19in; line-height: 0.2in\"><font color=\"#333333\"><font face=\"Times New Roman, serif\"><font size=\"3\"><strong>LRH<\/strong>: I LOVE TO COOK!! My family roots are in the South, so my great-grandmother had me in the kitchen with her at the age of 4 \u2013 and I haven\u2019t grown tired of it yet!! Again \u2013 cooking is therapy for me, but I also view it as a form of art. It has such depth \u2013 and I see cooking as one way to impart my passion for life to those in my family as well as my friends. Everyone who knows me \u2013 knows that I love to cook, so dinner parties, barbeques and general get-togethers are \u201cmust do&#8217;s\u201d whenever I extend an invitation. I so enjoy the fact that I can bring a smile to someone\u2019s face by the mere fact that I prepared a dish that was simply wonderful!<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0.19in; margin-bottom: 0.19in; line-height: 0.2in\"><font color=\"#333333\"><font face=\"Times New Roman, serif\"><font size=\"3\"><strong>ML: *Do you share your fridge with anyone?<\/strong><\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0.19in; margin-bottom: 0.19in; line-height: 0.2in\"><font face=\"Times New Roman, serif\"><font size=\"3\"><font color=\"#333333\"><strong>LRH:<\/strong> Ah, yes. I share it with the rest of my household <\/font><font color=\"#333333\"><font face=\"Wingdings\">\uf04a<\/font><\/font><font color=\"#333333\"> . My two kids (ages 19 and 12) as well as the matriarch of our family, my grandmother \u2013 who can still whip up a mean dish in the kitchen at the tender age of 81!!<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0.19in; margin-bottom: 0.19in; line-height: 0.2in\"><font color=\"#333333\"><font face=\"Times New Roman, serif\"><font size=\"3\"><strong>ML: *What are your favorite things to cook? <\/strong><\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0.19in; margin-bottom: 0.19in; line-height: 0.2in\"><font color=\"#333333\"><font face=\"Times New Roman, serif\"><font size=\"3\"><strong>LRH<\/strong>:I love to prepare chicken, seafood and pasta dishes. One of my most \u2018\u201drequested\u201d dishes from my family and friends is a special little cornbread recipe that I\u2019ve perfected over the years. As the weather turns colder, my phone will ring and the requests will come in from everyone \u2013 \u201cWhen will the cornbread be ready?\u201dIt\u2019s a closely guarded secret \u2013 NO ONE knows all of the ingredients, but I\u2019ll share one with you \u2013 rendered bacon fat. High calorie \u2013 put inches on your waistline \u2013 bacon fat. But \u2013 the end result is a simply marvelous, smoky concoction that will have you begging for more!!!!! <\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0.19in; margin-bottom: 0.19in; line-height: 0.2in\"><font color=\"#333333\"><font face=\"Times New Roman, serif\"><font size=\"3\"><strong>ML: *Is there someone in particular who has influenced your cooking and\/or eating habits, in what way?<\/strong><\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0.19in; margin-bottom: 0.19in; line-height: 0.2in\"><font color=\"#333333\"><font face=\"Times New Roman, serif\"><font size=\"3\"><strong>LRH<\/strong>: I think that coming from a family that loves to cook and embraces the notion of good food has been the primary driving factor as to how I perceive my own cooking and cuisine style. However, my current eating habits have been motivated by my boyfriend \u2013 who\u2019s definitely into preparing healthier meals and working out religiously. While I\u2019m not as intense as he is \u2013 I have found that being around him has rubbed off on me, and as such \u2013 the components of my meals and what\u2019s in my fridge and pantry are changing \u2013 for the better.<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0.19in; margin-bottom: 0.19in; line-height: 0.2in\"><font color=\"#333333\"><font face=\"Times New Roman, serif\"><font size=\"3\"><strong>ML: *In your dream dinner party who would you like to invite to your home for a dinner party? I\u2019d love for her to see what her baby girl has learned!!!<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0.19in; margin-bottom: 0.19in; line-height: 0.2in\"><font color=\"#333333\"><font face=\"Times New Roman, serif\"><font size=\"3\">Barack &amp; Michelle Obama \u2013 something tells me that they would really enjoy a wonderful, home cooked meal!!<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0.19in; margin-bottom: 0.19in; line-height: 0.2in\"><font color=\"#333333\"><font face=\"Times New Roman, serif\"><font size=\"3\">Aretha Franklin \u2013 I hear that the Queen of Soul is a legendary cook!!<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0.19in; margin-bottom: 0.19in; line-height: 0.2in\"><font color=\"#333333\"><font face=\"Times New Roman, serif\"><font size=\"3\">For as much as I am changing my eating habits \u2013 this menu would be a straight-from-the-soul affair!
