I knew this meant that the end of summer is here and soon we will be leaving the country house\u00a0 to open up our\u00a0 \u2018pied a terre\u2019 in the city.<br \/>\nWatermelon is one of my favorite flavors of summer. But this year it was almost a required fruit to eat to\u00a0 beat the extreme temperatures in Italy..nothing refreshes more than a cool slice of watermelon..my favorite souvenir of this year\u2019s watermelons is a cool drink that is made with watermelon, white melon and Prosecco-or you can have it without alcohol.<br \/>\nJust puree approximately 1 cup of the fruit of a watermelon, then puree 1\/2 cup of a white melon.\u00a0 Divide evenly into serving cocktail glasses, add in a spritz of Prosecco, a slice of fresh pineapple!<br \/>\nJoin me here in Italy on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marialiberati.com\/cooking-school-villa-in-italy\/\">Luxury culinary cruise<\/a> that will be leaving from Venice in May 2012.
