{"id":3214,"date":"2011-08-02T15:09:15","date_gmt":"2011-08-02T22:09:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.marialiberati.com\/?p=3214"},"modified":"2011-08-02T15:09:15","modified_gmt":"2011-08-02T22:09:15","slug":"culinary-cruise-to-sicily-and-a-luscious-biancomangiare","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/marialiberati.com\/freshsite\/2011\/08\/02\/culinary-cruise-to-sicily-and-a-luscious-biancomangiare\/","title":{"rendered":"Culinary Cruise to Sicily &#124; Luscious Sicilian Biancomangiare Recipe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It was so nice to meet all of those that came out to my appearance at Bally\u2019s Casino in Atlantic City Gourmet Food &amp; Wine Show this past weekend..so excited to hear that some&nbsp; will be coming on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marialiberati.com\/cooking-school-villa-in-italy\/\">culinary cruise <\/a>with me in May 2012!<br \/>\nFor those of you that have already made their reservations and those that may be thinking about it..we will be making a stop at a vineyard in Sicily to experience the wine and take a tour of the vineyard\u2026for those of you that asked for some Sicilian flavor before the cruise..here\u2019s one of my favorite Sicilian delicacies..Biancomangiare..a type of pudding..simple yet so delicious.<br \/>\n<a class=\"thickbox\" href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.marialiberati.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/dolce-biancomangiare.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; padding-top: 0px; border: 0px;\" title=\"dolce-biancomangiare\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.marialiberati.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/dolce-biancomangiare_thumb.jpg?resize=244%2C170&#038;ssl=1\" border=\"0\" alt=\"dolce-biancomangiare\" width=\"244\" height=\"170\"\/><\/a><br \/>\n<strong>Biancomangiare <\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>*4 cups almond milk<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>*peel of 1 lemon grated<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>*1 1\/2&nbsp; cups sugar<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>*1\/3 cup cornstarch<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>*pinch of cinnamon<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Place almond milk (leave 1\/4 cup in glass for later) in a saucepan over low heat. Add in lemon peel, sugar and pinch of cinnamon. Place cornstarch in remaining 1\/4 cup of cold almond milk and stir in till starch has dissolved.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Add into warm milk mixture and keep stirring till just before beginning to boil.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> Remove from heat and place in a mold. Place in refrigerator till firm.
