This a dessert perfect for any Italian kitchen but gluten free..let me know what you think. Best of all it uses\u00a0a vanilla pod!<br \/>\n\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.marialiberati.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/vanilla-beans.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-2532\" title=\"vanilla beans\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.marialiberati.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/vanilla-beans-150x150.jpg?resize=150%2C150&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<strong>Vanilla Cream Pudding<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>*3 cups milk<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>*3 cups fresh cream<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>*2 1\/2 cups sugar<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>*12 eggs<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>*4 egg yolks<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>*1\/2 vanilla pod<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>*Peel of one lemon. (Remove peel in large pieces)<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>*2 tsps Strega<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>*2 tsps Sambuca<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>*pinch of salt<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>First caramelize the sugar by placing 1 cup sugar with a few tsps of water in a sauce pan and let the sugar caramelize, stirring constantly. Set aside. Place milk and cream with vanilla stick and lemon peel pieces in a sauce pan. Heat and boil for 3 minutes. In a bowl, mix eggs,egg yolks, sugar,pinch of salt. Add in Strega and Sambuca, then add in milk\/cream mixture (lemon peel and vanilla stick removed). Add in caramellized sugar and place mixture in large baking dish.
