If I need any \u2018pasta inspiration\u2019 she seems to give it to me.\u00a0 Perched on a special shelf, she looks down at me and my work table as I create my pasta dishes.\u00a0\u00a0&#8216;She&#8217; was selected\u00a0\u00a0for \u00a0our <em>Best of The Basic Art of Italian Cooking 2010<\/em>\u00a0 <em>Annual Holiday Guide<\/em> to be released soon\u2026we couldn\u2019t resist her..I think you\u2019ll agree.. a skirt made of pasta, a chef\u2019s hat and a dish full of\u00a0 spaghetti\u2026<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.marialiberati.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/On-Top-of-Spaghetti.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; padding-top: 0px; border: 0px;\" title=\"On Top of Spaghetti\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.marialiberati.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/On-Top-of-Spaghetti_thumb.jpg?resize=179%2C244&#038;ssl=1\" border=\"0\" alt=\"On Top of Spaghetti\" width=\"179\" height=\"244\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<strong>ON TOP OF SPAGHETTI<\/strong><br \/>\nShe inspired this Spaghetti recipe..<br \/>\nThis is from my Award Winning Book<a href=\"https:\/\/www.marialiberati.com\/products-page\/bookstore\/the-basic-art-of-italian-cooking-holidays-special-occasions-second-edition\/\"> The Basic Art of Italian Cooking: Holidays &amp; Special\u00a0\u00a0 Occasions-2nd edition <\/a>and is perfect for a <a href=\"http:\/\/gomestic.com\/cooking\/traditional-italian-feast-of-the-seven-fishes\/\">Feast of The Seven Fishes Christmas Eve Dinner<\/a>.<br \/>\n<strong>Spaghetti ai Calamari<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>(Spaghetti with Calamari)<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.marialiberati.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/pasta-and-calamari.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-thumbnail wp-image-2416\" title=\"pasta and calamari\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.marialiberati.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/pasta-and-calamari-150x150.jpg?resize=150%2C150&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><strong><\/strong><br \/>\n1 lb of spaghetti<br \/>\n1 lb of fresh octopus or squid- cleaned and soaked<br \/>\n4 tblsps extra virgin olive oil<br \/>\n2 cloves of garlic<br \/>\n1 hot red dry pepper<br \/>\n1 cup of dry white wine<br \/>\n1 tblsp of tarragon<br \/>\nSalt and pepper to taste<br \/>\nFinely chop garlic and place in large frying pan with olive oil. Place over low heat. When oil just begins to bubble place in fresh squid or octopus, and tarragon (finely chopped). Place in \u00be cup wine, pinch of salt and pepper and cook all for about 10-15 minutes on high. Place spaghetti in boiling water, cook till al dente. Drain and toss in squid and sauce.
