And when speaking about wines..my first suggestion is to read the label of the wine..just as if you would read a food label.. But I realized that many terms used on wine labels are in Italian and some terms are technical similar to \u00a0musical terms\u2026you know Allegro\u2026con vivace\u2026con dolcezza\u2026and not always easy \u00a0to decipher.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.marialiberati.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/wine-labels.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-thumbnail wp-image-2358\" title=\"wine labels\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.marialiberati.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/wine-labels-150x150.jpg?resize=150%2C150&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nHere are some of my favorite wine terms you can find on bottles or\u00a0 or you may over hear these terms at your next wine tasting:<br \/>\nAbboccato- lightly sweet<br \/>\nAmabile-semi sweet<br \/>\nAzienda Agricola or Vitivinicola-the farm or estate that produces all or most of the grapes for wine sold under its\u2019 label<br \/>\nCerasuolo- cherry-hued rose wine<br \/>\nChiaretto-deep rose<br \/>\nDolce- sweet<br \/>\nConsorzio-consortium of producers<br \/>\nEnologo-an enologist with a university degree<br \/>\nFattoria-farm or estate<br \/>\nInvecchiato-aged<br \/>\nFrizzante-bubbly,sparkling<br \/>\nImbottigliata- bottled<br \/>\nPassito or Passita-partially dried grapes and the strong sweet wines made from them<br \/>\nRosso-red wine<br \/>\nSecco-dry<br \/>\nSpumante-sparkling dry or sweet wine<br \/>\nUva-grape<br \/>\nVino Novello- literally means new wine. But it is a wine that must be bottled and sold within the year of it\u2019s harvest.<br \/>\nVino da Tavola-table wine, not usually with a DOC or trademark.
