Yesterday on the East Coast the temperature was in the 60&#8217;s and the birds were chirping and I had a peach sighting at my favorite fresh fruit market..<br \/>\nYes that was peaches&#8230;My taste buds couldn&#8217;t resist and I bought my first pound of the season. With the warm weather and the sun shining and peaches abounding I\u00a0couldn&#8217;t help but think of my favorite frappe that I have at my little local coffee bar &#8216;haunt&#8217; in Rome.<br \/>\nWhat a &#8216;voglio&#8217; for a peach frappe..<br \/>\nHere it is&#8230; let me know how you like it. Although it did not bring me back to Rome it did\u00a0take my mind back to\u00a0my\u00a0memories\u00a0of sitting outside and enjoying the Roman sun while sipping my favorite frappe with the Pantheon in view&#8230;<br \/>\n<strong>Peach Frappe<\/strong><br \/>\n*2 cups of vanilla ice cream or\u00a0frozen yogurt\u00a0(can be low fat or fat\u00a0free)<br \/>\n*1 lb of fresh ripe peaches<br \/>\n*1\/4 cup of honey<br \/>\n*1\/3 cup of milk (can be skim or low fat)<br \/>\n*1\/2 tsp of almond flavoring<br \/>\nWash, peel and cut peaches into small cubes. Place cut peaches, milk, honey, almond flavoring and 1\/2 of the ice cream into a blender. Blend until smooth.
