What a fun expereince and my first on Second Life.<br \/>\nIn honor of San Valentino,as I have been doing all week, I am going to give you more recipes from my upcoming book The Basic Art of Italian Cooking -Holidays and Special Occasions(copyright 2008, Maria Liberati)<br \/>\nThe following are two of the recipes in the book for this special day. Hope you will be able to make these for someone special in your life.\u00a0 San Valentino represented love. So someone sepcial can mean a special friend, your parents, your siblings, your neighbor, a best friend, someone who has done something special for you in the past.\u00a0 Sharing\u00a0a special dish with someone\u00a0is the best way to show\u00a0them that you care about them.<br \/>\n<strong><font face=\"Times New Roman\">Cocktail di Mare (seafood Cocktail)<o:p><\/o:p><\/font><\/strong><o:p><font face=\"Times New Roman\">\u00a0<\/font><\/o:p><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><font face=\"Times New Roman\">*6 jumbo shrimp(steamed)<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><font face=\"Times New Roman\">*12 large scallops (steamed)<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><font face=\"Times New Roman\">*2-3 drops of <st1:place w:st=\"on\"><st1:state w:st=\"on\">Tabasco<\/st1:state><\/st1:place> sauce<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><font face=\"Times New Roman\">*6 tablespoons of olive oil<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><font face=\"Times New Roman\">*1 tablespoon of vodka<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><font face=\"Times New Roman\">*2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><font face=\"Times New Roman\">*6 hot red peppers<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><font face=\"Times New Roman\">*10-12 leaves of romaine lettuce<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><font face=\"Times New Roman\">*1 tsp of powdered red pepper<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><font face=\"Times New Roman\">*2 tsps of salt<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><font face=\"Times New Roman\">*6<span>\u00a0 <\/span>shish kabob type wooden sticks<\/font><\/p>\n<p><o:p><font face=\"Times New Roman\">\u00a0<\/font><\/o:p><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><font face=\"Times New Roman\">Place on sticks first-one scallop then one shrimp (vertically) then one scallop. Repeat using all 6 sticks.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>In small bowl place vodka, salt powdered red pepper, lemon juice, <st1:place w:st=\"on\"><st1:state w:st=\"on\">Tabasco<\/st1:state><\/st1:place> sauce , olive oil.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>Beat wit ha fork until all ingredients are blended.<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><font face=\"Times New Roman\"><span>\u00a0<\/span>In<span>\u00a0 <\/span>tall glass, arrange a few lettuce leaves on side of glass. Alternate in each glass, 3 hot red peppers and 3 shish kebabs. Drizzle sauce on top and serve.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><o:p><font face=\"Times New Roman\">\u00a0<\/font><\/o:p><o:p><font face=\"Times New Roman\">\u00a0<\/font><\/o:p><strong><font face=\"Times New Roman\">Cuori di Pane<o:p><\/o:p><\/font><\/strong><o:p><font face=\"Times New Roman\">\u00a0<\/font><\/o:p><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><font face=\"Times New Roman\">*Pre made pizza dough-1\/2 lb (uncooked)<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><font face=\"Times New Roman\">*3 tablespoons of flour<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><font face=\"Times New Roman\">*2 tablespoons of dried tomatoes<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><font face=\"Times New Roman\">*1 tsp of Sapori D\u2019Italia Spice Blend or Rosemary<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><font face=\"Times New Roman\">*4 dried red peppers<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><font face=\"Times New Roman\">*3 tablespoons of olive oil<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><font face=\"Times New Roman\">*2 tsps of chopped scallion<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><font face=\"Times New Roman\">*<\/font><\/p>\n<p><o:p><font face=\"Times New Roman\">\u00a0<\/font><\/o:p><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><font face=\"Times New Roman\">Drain dried tomatoes and chop into small squares.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>In separate bowl, crush 3 dried red peppers with wooden spoon, place in chopped dried tomatoes, chopped scallops. Blend. Place ball of pizza dough in bowl and work in mixture. Knead pizza dough for 5 minutes until all ingredients are blended into dough.<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><font face=\"Times New Roman\">Dust wooden board with 1 tablespoon of flour. Place pizza dough on top. Flatten dough to about 1\/8 inch thickness. Cut with cookie cutter in shape of heart.<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><font face=\"Times New Roman\">Place sheet of baking paper on cookie sheet. Place hearts on baking sheet. Crush remaining pepper in small dish, mix with \u00bd tsp of Sapori D\u2019Italia or Rosemary.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>Drizzle hearts with teaspoon of olive oil<span>\u00a0 <\/span>and<span>\u00a0 <\/span>sprinkle remaining crushed pepper mix on top. Let hearts sit for 30 minutes.
