Here is a perfect recipe for a Holiday appetizer or light course for a brunch or light dinner. See it here:<br \/>\n\u00a0<img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1497\" title=\"holiday gift guide\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.marialiberati.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/holiday-gift-guide.jpg?resize=150%2C89&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"holiday gift guide\" width=\"150\" height=\"89\" \/><br \/>\n<strong>Holiday Gift Guide 2009<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/content.yudu.com\/Library\/A1jim0\/HolidayGiftGuide2009\/resources\/index.htm?referrerUrl=\">http:\/\/content.yudu.com\/Library\/A1jim0\/HolidayGiftGuide2009\/resources\/index.htm?referrerUrl=<\/a><\/strong><br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n*<strong>Roasted Fig Salad with Crispy Prosciutto and\u00a0Parmigiana cheese (served with<br \/>\na Tuscan spiced crouton and reduced balsamic dressing)*<\/strong>*Dressing*:* *<br \/>\nServes 6:<br \/>\n1\/2 c balsamic vinegar reduced by half to make 1\/4 cup of \u00a0balsamic syrup<br \/>\n2 t chopped parsley<br \/>\n3 T extra-virgin olive oil (check out our selections of\u00a0 olive oil in the Holiday Gift Guide)<br \/>\n1\/2 &#8211; 1 t dijon mustard<br \/>\nSalt \u00a0&amp; Pepper\u00a0\u00a0to \u00a0taste<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n*Figs*:<br \/>\nBlack figs sliced in half lengthwise<br \/>\nCoarse Sea Salt<br \/>\nExtra Virgin Olive Oil<br \/>\nA sprinkle of sugar<br \/>\n*Other:<br \/>\nSalad Greens<br \/>\nCrusty Loaf Bread<br \/>\nShaved parmigiano-Reggiano cheese<br \/>\n2 tsps <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marialiberati.com\/store\/page3.html\">Tuscan Picnic Spice Blend\u00a0<\/a><br \/>\nProscuitto slices cut into \u00a0julienne strips<br \/>\n*Directions*:<br \/>\n-Combine the reduced balsamic \u00a0syrup with the chopped parsley, olive oil, and dijon<br \/>\nmustard. Whisk until emulsified. Season with salt and pepper and hold to the<br \/>\nside.<br \/>\n-Slice thin slices of crusty loaf bread and brush with olive oil. Season<br \/>\nwith the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marialiberati.com\/store\/page3.html\">Tuscan\u00a0Picnic \u00a0spice\u00a0blend\u00a0<\/a>and toast in the oven (or grill\/broil if<br \/>\ndesired) until toasted. For dryer croutons hold them in the oven (heat off)<br \/>\nuntil they cool.<br \/>\n-Lay the figs in a roasting pan and sprinkle with olive oil and the coarse<br \/>\nsalt. Roast in the oven at 375 degrees until cooked. If desired, sprinkle a<br \/>\nlittle bit of sugar onto the figs three &#8211; five minutes before the figs are<br \/>\ndone.<br \/>\n-Lay the prosciutto slices on a sheet pan and crisp in the oven, roughly 1 &#8211;<br \/>\n2 minutes.<br \/>\n-Gather the shaved cheese and assemble the salad. Lay the crouton on the<br \/>\nplate, topped with the salad tossed in the dressing.
