Wine lovers, listen up! Southern Pennsylvania is home to a small area
in Berks County. Within that county, there is a wine trail formed in 2005 that provides unique and unforgettable experiences to wine celebrators who come from near and far to indulge in the experience.
Eleven Different Wineries
Berks County Wine Trails is a collection of eleven different and distinct wineries that each hold true to their own style of an eccentric atmosphere. Because of the different possibilities to explore within these wineries, there is something for everyone to enjoy!
Want to explore the different wineries? There are eleven unique experiences within the Wine Trails: Deerfoot Winery, Calvaresi Winery, Long Trout Winery, Kong Hill Winery, Manatawny Creek Winery, Ridgewood Winery, Setter Ridge Winery, Stone Barn Cellars Winery,
Stonekeep Meadery, Stoudt’s Winery, and Weathered Vineyards.
Eleven Different Experiences To Choose From
To give you an idea of what some of the wineries are all about, Deerfoot Winery is one of the newest wineries. It offers a wide array of high-quality artisan products that are bound to satisfy any wine expert, or any beginner! They are a small boutique that has established their
home in the valley for over 70 years. Deerfoot Winery is a great place to enjoy lunch with a picnic basket, as their land borders a 1,082-acre reservoir.
Long Trout Winery offers an authentic experience that anybody who loves tie-dye and The Beatles would swoon for. They pride themselves on catering to people who are flower children and hippies at heart. Focusing their ideals and aesthetics on the 60’s and early 70’s, Long Trout
Winery is all about providing a care-free experience immersed in their three main values—peace, love and rock & roll.
Calvaresi Winery is perfect for anybody who appreciates the significance of perfecting the craft of wine. Starting the wine making process in their small basement, Calvaresi Winery has been crafting their wine since 1981, having won many awards for grape and fruit wines since then.
They are a small family that embraces the Germanic style of wine-making, fermenting their wines in stainless steel tanks at cool temperatures to fully capture the crisp and fruity flavor. This style of wine-making allows their wine to stand out from many, and makes for a great,
authentic experience for anybody interested in the aging process of wine.
The Berks County Wine Trail not only is home to these exquisite wineries that are open to explore and pander to, they also hold many wine-related events that may be hard to refuse for anybody who even has the slightest interest in wine.
Irresistible Events
Some examples of these irresistible events are the Artisan Cheese & Wine Pairing Event Weekend, and Chocolate & Wine Pairing Weekend.
Wine trails are perfect for anybody who has great knowledge and experience in celebrating wine for many years, those just beginning to enter the wine scene, and those who just like to enjoy a tall glass of wine on a Friday night! Because of the eleven different wineries that all encapsulate their own unique atmosphere, there is something for everybody at The Berks County Wine trails to enjoy.
