Pasta History
In 5000 B.C. it is said that the Chinese were the first civilization to eat pasta.
Pasta is a dish that nearly everyone loves because of its versatility. There are so many different shapes such as rotini, tortellini, spaghetti, lasagna, and many more! The great thing about pasta is that it can be served as a main dish or as a side dish.
Pasta brings families together because it can be a shared meal. Sitting at the dinner table on Sunday passing around a large dish of spaghetti and meatballs brings a smile to everyone’s face. How about how excited you and your children get when you see some cheesy mac and cheese.
Not only does pasta fill you up, it also has lots of nutrients to keep you healthy and energized — which is why marathon runners and athletes eat lots of it before a big run or game. With all of this being said let us celebrate this extremely nutritious and tasty food throughout the month of October.
How to Celebrate
Create your very own pasta shape. Make some homemade pasta from a basic pasta dough recipe and be creative!
