Festive Apples, Cranberries and Brachetto | Holiday Variations in Red

 
Holiday countdown and I am in ‘cranberry mode’…I love this little berry so healthy.. and versatile…dessert or side dish with Holiday turkey..so here’s one of my favorite easy Holiday cranberry recipes. Festive Apples, Cranberries and Brachetto
(created for Farm to Table events)
1 lb fresh local apples peeled, cored and sliced thinly
1/2 pint fresh cranberries
1/2 cup Brachetto d’acqui
1 tsp cinnamon
4 tablespoons honey (or to taste)
Place thinly sliced apples in saute pan, place over low to medium heat and add in wine, cranberries, cinnamon, honey, Saute until cranberries have popped and apples are tender. Liquid should evaporate. Serve with vanilla yogurt as a dessert or as a side dish to roasted turkey or chicken..
