And if you want to have the perfect summer dish for a lazy hazy summer afternoon for a casual get together… make something that will bring back memories from summer’s past. One of my summer memories is about taking long walks on the boardwalk at the New Jersey shore early in the morning when the sun is crisp and the air is still fresh and then in the evening and stopping for freshly made fudge. You can create this memory for someone that never experienced this with my gourmet version of AUTHENTIC BOARDWALK FUDGE. The fiore de sale salt brings the saltwater taste home. What a delicious conversation piece!
Peanut Butter and Fiore De Sale Fudge
this will make about 50 pieces
1 cup butter
1 1/4 cups peanut butter
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. fiore de sale (salt)
Melt butter and peanut butter together. Add this to the powdered sugar. Then add in the salt and stir till well blended. Cover an 8” by 8” pan with parchment paper, add in the fudge mixture and level the top with a spatula. Sprinkle with a pinch of fiore de sale (salt). Refrigerate for at least 3 hours. Cut into 1” by 1 “ squares. Serve. Leave the remainder in the refrigerator covered for up to 1 week.
Add a dash of summer memories and you have the perfect conversation piece
