Genoa may not be famously known for its exquisite coffee bars, but if you are visiting the area and need an espresso to feel rejuvenated, here are three locations that would be right what you’re looking for.
Vedova Romanengo
Located in Vico Falamonica, Vedova Romanengo opened its doors in 1805 and has become famous for producing fried, candied fruits, chestnuts and fruit gelatins. Now it has become more commonly known as a spot to enjoy a great coffee or a lovely tea in the large tea salon on the upper floor.
Fratelli Klainguti
A coffee shop opened by two Swiss brothers in 1826 at Piazza Soziglia 98, Fratelli Klainguti is filled with sweets, such as glazed brioche with marmalade, a great companion to a fabulous expresso.
Pasticceria Gelateria Mangini
Dating back to 1876, Café Mangini is the epitome of old-school Genoa. Mangini is located at Piazza Corvetto 3/r, with gorgeous décor ranging from mirrors to chandeliers. Make a note to stop here for a delicious breakfast, pastries or a coffee for an afternoon pick-me-up.
