Happy National Puppy Day: Celebrating with Sweetie Bear’s Special Risotto!
National Puppy Day is coming up this weekend, and what better way to celebrate than with our beloved furry companions? I’m particularly thrilled this year as it marks my first National Puppy Day with my charming rescue puppy, Sweetie Bear (a shoutout to Sofia and Elena for the ideal name!). Here’s Sweetie alongside her best pal, Jep!
Sweetie Bear is more than just a pet; she’s a beloved family member and deserves something special. I’ve created her delicious and nutritious chicken and zucchini risotto recipe. It’s ideal for outdoor gatherings, like our upcoming Memorial Day picnic, because it’s just as tasty and served cold.
Important Note: This recipe is versatile, too; it can complement your dog’s regular meals or serve as a delicious topper. Remember, a balanced diet is crucial in maintaining your furry friend’s health.
Sweetie Bear’s National Puppy Day Risotto
Ingredients:
- 1/4 pound cooked, chopped chicken breast (boil the chicken, then chop into small pieces)
- One small zucchini, cut into small pieces and boiled until soft
- 1/2 cup cooked white rice
Instructions:
- Once the chicken is cooked and cooled, chop it into small pieces.
- Drain the zucchini and combine it with the chopped chicken and cooked rice in a small bowl.
- Let the mixture cool completely before serving to your pup.
This recipe makes multiple servings, depending on the size and age of your dog.
Happy National Puppy Day to all the fantastic pups out there!
