Plum Torte
2 pounds of yellow plums
2 eggs
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup flour
1/2 cup cream
1 packet of dry yeast
powdered sugar
Wash prunes and remove stone in center, slice thinly, set aside. In separate bowl beat eggs and sugar with electric mixer till frothy. Then add in flour and dry yeast a little at a time (about 2 tablespoons at a time) and mix well before adding more. Then add in cream (add in 1/2 of cream then blend and add in remainder and blend). Butter an 8” cake pan and/or cover with baking paper. Pour cake mixture in pan. Arrange plum slices on top. Bake in oven preheated to 375 degrees for 45 minutes, sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving….
